From stunning singers to dainty dancers, Ipswich’s future stars of the entertainment world are set to showcase their skills later this month as the Britain’s Got Talent auditions roll into town.

The closed auditions will be taking place at the Regent Theatre from 12-4pm on Wednesday, October 26, and while booking for a slot is required, it isn’t too late to sign up.

An Ipswich Regent Theatre spokesman said: “It’s very exciting to be able to host auditions for this incredibly popular show, but we would remind people that they cannot just turn up and must pre-book.

“If you think you’ve got what it takes, come along on October 26. These are closed auditions and not an audition in front of an audience, spaces are limited so you must pre-register.

“We are looking forward to unearthing some future stars who will go on and have success in the national auditions.”

Last month, ITV announced locations for the open auditions, which will be held in London, Cardiff, Blackpool, Edinburgh and Manchester, kicking off in Birmingham on October 22nd.

After the open and closed auditions have been completed, the top acts will go through to the televised judges auditions performing in front of the returning judging panel – Simon Cowell, David Walliams, Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon.

This year’s 10th competition was won by Richard Jones, who became the first magician to scoop the coveted crown.
