FIREFIGHTERS were called to a warehouse fire and a kitchen blaze in Suffolk last night.

Ventilation and salvage work were necessary after the warehouse blaze at Buyright store, in Calais Road, Hadleigh at 4pm.

Crews from Hadleigh and Nayland spent 35 minutes putting out the fire, which is not being treated as suspicious.

A store spokesman today described the damage as "minimal."

Two crews needed only 10 minutes to extinguish the kitchen blaze in Felixstowe Road, Ipswich at 6pm.

Fire crews were also called to car fires in Hadleigh, Haverhill and Holbrook, and a rubbish fire in Sproughton.
