TWO women are recovering today after attempted handbag snatches.
The first incident happened at about 2.50pm yesterday as a 79-year-old woman walked along Church Walks toward College Street.
The woman held on to her bag and the man ran off toward Crown Street where his accomplice was waiting. The victim received slight injuries to her wrist and arm and was taken to West Suffolk Hospital for treatment.
A few hours later, at 6.45pm, a woman was walking out of town along Short Brackland when two white males came up from behind and tried to grab her handbag. She clung on to her bag until they ran off empty handed.
