New students at Easton and Otley College enjoyed a social start to college life as they gathered at the college freshers’ fair.

The college laid on a host of stalls from community groups, charities and businesses for youngsters to talk to, and find out about how to get involved with them or what services are available.

Among those speaking to the new intake were the East of England Co-op, The Samaritans and Suffolk Roadsafe.

Ryan Crisp, a student advisor at the college who helped organise the fair, said: “It’s important we put this event on. It gives our students a chance to meet organisations that come into the college throughout the year and also makes them aware of external services that are available to them when they are not at college.

“There was a nice buzz and atmosphere walking around and we would like to thank everyone who supported our induction week.”
