STUDENTS in Ipswich have held a health awareness day with fruit, juices and head massages on offer.

Twelve Suffolk College travel and tourism students organised the event at the college which aimed to promote a message of healthy living.

Mel Sadler, 19, who was one of the coordinators, said: “It went really really well and a lot of people turned up.

“With the problem of obesity in the world we thought this was a good way to get health messages across to students.

“It has been really fun organising it and we've learnt all about health, food and exercises.”

The event, which featured a stop smoking stand, an exercise bike, fresh fruit, juices and Indian head massages, also raised money for Cancer Research UK.
