Students from the University of Suffolk have been working with the Ipswich Vision Partnership to develop a new logo which is now on show at the Cornhill mural in the town centre.

The graphic design students worked with the Ipswich Vision as part of their course designing the new logo and visual identity.

The logo’s geometric shape has been inspired by the shape of Ipswich waterfront, sails on boats in the marina and by the triangle created by key Vision projects at the University, the railway station and the Cornhill. The colour palette of light blue and Suffolk pink were selected after the students spent time taking photographs around the town and surrounding areas.

Seeing the work on display at the Cornhill BA (Hons) Graphic Design (Graphic Illustration) student, Holly Webber, said “We are all really excited; it is the first project a lot of us have worked on that has actually been turned into something.”
