SHOW me the honey!
A pair of Suffolk stunners are set to battle it out for a stash of cash after progressing to the final of a top national modelling competition.
The dazzling duo will go toe-to-toe to slug it out for votes to land the top prize of £10,000 and a modelling contract in the FHM High Street Honeys competition 2007.
Eloise Pickering, 24, of Ipswich and Anna Kerry, 23, of Kesgrave, saw off more than 13,000 competitors to make the final 100 of the magazine's annual battle of the beauties contest.
The pair, who already know each other, are now hoping to get as many votes as they can prior to the November 29 deadline to stand a chance of winning this year's title.
Eloise, a personal assistant, said: “I have always wanted to go into modelling and the prize is quite good as well.
- 1 'This is all I've got' - Woman fighting to keep home where mum died
- 2 Teen fractured taxi driver's skull in 'shocking display of violence'
- 3 Woman bit dog owner during dispute over not picking up mess
- 4 Teen taken to hospital with serious injuries after Ipswich crash
- 5 'From one family business to another' - Cattermole's changes hands
- 6 Five forgotten Ipswich music venues and what they are now
- 7 Felixstowe man to star on small screen with converted Mini Cooper
- 8 10 Suffolk celebrities and where they went to school
- 9 Cocaine dealers involved in 'Bash' drugs line in Suffolk are jailed
- 10 Ipswich bus fares to increase after 'significant' drop in usage
“Even if you come in the top ten you can get a top contract in the modelling world.
“I would be over-the-moon if I got into the top ten.
“It feels very strange but I have been getting really good support - it's been overwhelming.
“I think it's quite cool that we know each other as Anna is my cousin's best friend and it is nice to go through it with someone.”
The pair are already busy on the campaign trail and are scheduling appearances at nightspots across the town and further afield to drum up support.
Anna, who works as a nurse, said she was inspired to enter the competition by Ipswich girl Charlotte Marshall who did well in the competition back in 2003.
She said: “I had thought about it after Charlotte Marshall made it but I suppose it was my boyfriend who finally pushed me to do it and take some pictures which came out really well so we sent them in.
“It is brilliant to be a part of it and my family are really proud of me.
“Ideally I would love to get in the top ten but even if nothing happens I will have made new friends.”
