POLICE believe a man found dead in the River Stour may have drowned trying to rescue his dog.Relatives of the 65-year-old Sudbury man, who has not been named by police, became concerned after he went out to walk his dog, but failed to return home.
POLICE believe a man found dead in the River Stour may have drowned trying to rescue his dog.
Relatives of the 65-year-old Sudbury man, who has not been named by police, became concerned after he went out to walk his dog, but failed to return home.
The Suffolk Lowland Search and Rescue team found the man in the Stour in the early hours of yesterday morning.
His dog was also found in the same Melford Road area of the river.
