POLICE are hunting a man after a group of teenage girls said they were threatened by a knifeman after an argument in Sudbury town centre.
A police spokesman said: "At around 1.45pm the girls were approached by a man and there followed a verbal altercation. The man then produced a knife and started to carry out threats towards the girls. He then walked off towards the bus station area and there were quite a few witnesses around at the time.
"Police officers wearing body armour were in the town centre to after 5.30pm, searching for the suspect," he added.
The incident happened at around 1.45pm Monday outside Mill House Fabrics in Kings Street, when a man approached the girls outside a shop and an argument started.
