Sudden death of yachtsman's brother

THE family of Suffolk yachtsman Josh Hall are mourning the sudden death of his brother, Steve, who has died unexpectedly while recovering "from a complicated illness".

THE family of Suffolk yachtsman Josh Hall are mourning the sudden death of his brother, Steve, who has died unexpectedly while recovering "from a complicated illness".

Steve Michael Hall, the brother of round-the-world sailor Josh Hall, died on Sunday at Addenbrooke's Hospital, in Cambridge.

In an announcement released today his family led by parents Pat and Peter, of Norbury Road, Ipswich, paid tribute.

"Through his incredibly varied life Steve made the most amazing friends wherever he was and over the past few months many of these friends have offered him invaluable support.

"Steve, you have left a hole in our lives with your untimely departure but your presence left such an enduring mark that you live on in our hearts. We all love you so much."

They also thanked hospital staff for their kindness.

Steve is survived by another brother, Alan.

The late Mr Hall will be cremated at a private ceremony although the family is planning a further celebration of Steve's life. Details will be given to his many friends in due course, his family added, They asked for no flowers or donations.
