SUFFOLK: Police are appealing for information after a woman was robbed of her handbag.
The incident took place in the Haward Street area of Lowestoft at around 10.30pm on Friday.
The 48-year-old woman had been walking home from a night out and passed two males – both described as white, in their late teens, one wearing a dark hooded top, the other a white hooded top - in an alleyway at the back of homes in Haward Street.
She heard a male voice shout at her before her bag was snatched. The woman let her bag go and ran away.
Moments later she told a relative who went to the alleyway and recovered the bag intact. Nothing had been stolen.
Police would like to speak to anyone who was in the area around this time. Those who can help should call Lowestoft CID on 01986 835300.
