Sunny weather was taken full advantage of at a Suffolk care home yesterday as it threw open its doors to friends and family for a barbecue.
The event marked Bucklesham Grange’s celebrations for the national Care Home Open Day, with relatives and members of the community invited to join them for a summer party, complete with singing and dancing sessions and bouncy castles for the younger guests.
Daniel Rowark, general manager of Bucklesham Grange Care Home, on Bucklesham Road, said: “We were very excited to take part in this year’s Care Home Open Day event as we feel it’s a great opportunity to celebrate the fantastic work we do and the amazing facilities that we have here at Bucklesham Grange.
“We have had such a fun and exciting day welcoming in people from the area and it was wonderful to see residents interacting with members of our local community.”
