Sunny weather was taken full advantage of at a Suffolk care home yesterday as it threw open its doors to friends and family for a barbecue.

The event marked Bucklesham Grange’s celebrations for the national Care Home Open Day, with relatives and members of the community invited to join them for a summer party, complete with singing and dancing sessions and bouncy castles for the younger guests.

Daniel Rowark, general manager of Bucklesham Grange Care Home, on Bucklesham Road, said: “We were very excited to take part in this year’s Care Home Open Day event as we feel it’s a great opportunity to celebrate the fantastic work we do and the amazing facilities that we have here at Bucklesham Grange.
