SUFFOLK: County council chief executive Andrea Hill wants to be back at her desk and working for the people of Suffolk, The Evening Star can reveal today.
Mrs Hill is currently on extended leave from Suffolk County Council while an independent inquiry is conducted into claims made by a whistle-blower.
Today the group which represents chief executives has sent out a message that Mrs Hill is eager to resume her role at the helm of Endeavour House as quickly as possible
Meanwhile, in a separate development, more details of the hotel bills paid by Suffolk council chiefs as they attended a conference in Dorset have come to light.
The Star has discovered that while Mrs Hill stayed at the �205-a-night Haven Hotel, in Sandbanks, colleagues from Suffolk County Council and Ipswich Borough Council were put up in far more modest hotels that cost less than half the price... and were closer to the venue of the last Local Government Association annual conference.
