Further thunder storms are on their way tonight after what is tipped to be the hottest day of the year.
Dan Holley, forecaster at Weatherquest, said it was most likely that the storms would arrive after midnight however they could begin as early as 8.30pm or 9pm.
This morning much of Essex saw dramatic thunder and lightning storms, however Mr Holley said these would push north before clearing away this afternoon.
Festival goers at Latitude can expect fine conditions as most of the region will see sunshine this afternoon, with temperatures reaching 31C, making it the hottest day of the year and very humid.
