Suffolk firefighters help elderly man

FIREFIGHTERS from Nayland in Suffolk joined colleagues from Essex to help an elderly man whose home in Colchester was damaged by fire on Saturday morning.

FIREFIGHTERS from Nayland in Suffolk joined colleagues from Essex to help an elderly man whose home in Colchester was damaged by fire on Saturday morning.

The 80-year-old was rescued from his home by neighbours who were alerted by his smoke alarm. He was taken to hospital to be checked for the affects of smoke inhalation but was not seriously hurt.
