SUFFOLK police have charged a man with five counts of robbery following raids in three counties.

SUFFOLK police have charged a man with five counts of robbery following raids in three counties.

Alan Loveridge, 42, of Rede Way, Great Cornard, near Sudbury, has been remanded in custody, to appear before South East Suffolk Magistrates on Wednesday November 12 2008, charged with robberies in Suffolk, Essex and Cambridgeshire.

The charges relate to robberies in Barrow, Suffolk, in November 2006; Newmarket, Suffolk, in November 2006; Exning, Suffolk, in October 2006; Dedham, Essex, in November 2007; and Linton, Cambridgeshire, in November 2006.

A 41 year old woman from Great Cornard was also arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery, she has been released on police bail to return to Ipswich Police Station on January 16 2009.
