Suffolk: Man in court to face distraction burglary charge

SUFFOLK: A 35-year-old man has been charged following an alleged distraction burglary.

Daniel Malyon, 35, of London Road South in Lowestoft, has been charged with burglary and was due to appear at Lowestoft Magistrates’ Court this morning.

The arrest follows a report of a distraction burglary at the home of a woman in her 90s at Royal Avenue on Saturday afternoon.

A police spokesman said: “Police were alerted after a man conned his way into the woman’s home around 3pm to 3.30pm.

“After he left the woman discovered cash had been stolen from her purse.”
