AN INQUEST has been opened into the death of a pensioner thought to have committed suicide in Suffolk.
Eric Ross, 69, was found dead at a property in Battisford Road, Barking, on Tuesday.
He is said to have died as a result of suffocation, depression and ischaemic heart disease, characterised by a reduced blood supply to the heart.
Both police and ambulance were called at around 8am to the property, Mr Ross' home address.
Today an inquest into Mr Ross' death was opened and adjourned at the coroner's office, Shire Hall, Bury St Edmunds
An ambulance service spokesman said it was believed to be a case of suicide.
