A MOTORCYCLIST from Rushmere St Andrew has died after a collision with a car in Essex.

A MOTORCYCLIST from Rushmere St Andrew has died after a collision with a car in Essex.

David Fleming, of Mendip Drive, was riding along the B141 near the Cherry Tree pub in Little Oakley near Harwich, when his bike was in collision with a white Ford Focus at about 8.30pm yesterday.

The car driver, a 63-year-old man from Harwich, was uninjured but shaken by the incident.

Mr Fleming, 47, was taken to Colchester General Hospital but died shortly after from his injuries.
