A man has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving after a car with a missing wheel reportedly crashed into several parked vehicles in Ipswich tonight.

Suffolk police received multiple calls about collisions in Cavendish Street at around 6.45pm.

A force spokesman said it appeared a car with a missing wheel had hit several other vehicles, including a van. He said officers arrested a man on suspicion of drink driving at the scene.

Members of the public are reported to have chased after the car, with one person said to have reached in to the vehicle to take the key from the ignition.

The man has since been charged with drink driving and is due before magistrates later this month.
