No serious injuries have been reported from the collision
Suffolk police were called shortly after 4.25pm to the accident on the junction of Dillwyn Street, Burlington Road and Handford Road in Ipswich.
A spokesman for Suffolk Constabulary said that the pedestrian, a 13-year-old boy, had been helped by an off duty police officer who had been in the area and that the officer had called the ambulance.
He said that there were thought to be no serious injuries and that the boy was conscious after the collision.
