Mr Moore was last seen with a suspected “bloody face” on February 6, at around 4pm in the Nacton area of Ipswich.

He is said to have been “possibly wearing no top and may have a bloodied face”.

He was reported to police two days later prompting searches supported by Suffolk Lowland Search and Rescue teams.

With concerns growing, police have made renewed appeals for information, saying Mr Moore may have been staying in hotels in Ipswich under a different name.

A force spokesman today confirmed that searches being carried out on both sides of Bell Lane in the woodlands and the fields have been as part of ongoing work to find Mr Moore.

Mr Moore, who is 6ft tall, of stocky build and with mousy hair, is also known to have links to Diss and Great Yarmouth in Norfolk.

“Police and family members are increasingly concerned for Paul’s welfare and so are appealing for anyone who has seen Paul to make contact,” a police spokesman added.

Further searches will take place this weekend along the Nacton foreshore and nearby woodland, with the aid of Suffolk Lowland Search and Rescue.

It has now been established he was wearing white trainers, grey jogging bottoms and possibly a black top when he was last seen.
