A man has been flown to hospital with serious injuries after emergency services were called to reports of a medical incident at an Ipswich retail park.

Suffolk police confirmed officers were called just after 9.10am to attend The Range in the Suffolk Retail Park off London Road.

“It’s believed that a man has fallen and is injured,” a police spokesman said.

“The air ambulance and a land ambulance are currently on the scene.”

The East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust said an ambulance crew, duty officer and air ambulance were dispatched to the retail park at just after 9,15am.

“A man in his 40s was taken by air ambulance to Addenbrooke’s Hospital with serious injuries,” a spokesman added.
