A SUFFOLK consultant psychiatrist who raped and sexually assaulted vulnerable women patients over a 14-year period was today jailed for eight years.Christopher Allison, 60, of Hall Lane, Risby, near Bury St Edmunds, was convicted by a jury at Winchester Crown Court of two rapes and 10 indecent assaults on six women.

The married father-of-three was a psychotherapist at clinics in Kent and Hampshire when the offences took place between 1983 and 1997.
