A 17-year-old is on the run today after he fled from police while they were arresting him on suspicion of indecently assaulting a teenaged girl.The youth ran off when officers called at his home in Haughley to arrest him in connection with a report of a sex attack on a 12-year-old girl.
A 17-year-old is on the run today after he fled from police while they were arresting him on suspicion of indecently assaulting a teenaged girl.
The youth ran off when officers called at his home in Haughley to arrest him in connection with a report of a sex attack on a 12-year-old girl.
Officers scoured the area with dogs to pick up a scent of the runaway following his disappearance but he has not yet been captured.
The alleged indecent assault happened at a property in the village on the outskirts of Stowmarket in the early evening of last Thursday, August 16.
Police called to arrest the 17-year-old on Sunday morning but, after his arrest, he fled from officers.
The hunt for the teenaged suspect was continuing today.
