Handford Hall Primary School in Ipswich is closed until 10am this morning due to a suspected gas leak.
A spokesman for the school said: “The school is closed due to a suspected gas leak until 10am and all parents have been informed via a text message.
“We discovered a fault in one of our heaters but engineers have arrived to fix it.”
National Grid engineers are on the scene and the fault is expected to be fixed by 10am.
The school published an update on their website earlier this morning, and said: “Urgent news - Monday 21st March - Due to faulty gas appliance, the school will open today at 10am”.
