A crowbar was brandished at an attempted burglary victim in Ipswich on Tuesday.
Around 1.45pm in Brookview, off Belstead Road, two men tried to force their way into the property with the crowbar.
They were discovered by the victim, who was in his garden, and the crowbar was then brandished at him.
He was warned to back away by the men who then left through a side gate.
The suspects are described as wearing balaclavas and dark clothing. They are believed to have driven away in a black car.
