LEISTON Leisure Centre's swimming pool will reopen tomorrow after being closed for nearly three weeks after problems with the gas supply.
Specialist contractors were called in to fix the problem with the gas pipe which meant the swimming pool temperature could not be maintained at a comfortable level.
The problem also affected the steam room and sauna, and meant that the sports hall has been without heating or hot water.
“We are happy to say the swimming pool facilities at Leiston Leisure Centre are now up and running again, and I want to say a big thank you to all our customers for their patience while the pool has been closed.” said Simon Tappenden, manager for DC Leisure who run Suffolk Coastal council's leisure centres.
The pool will be open from 7am tomorrow morning, Friday April 25. More information is available from Leiston Leisure Centre on 01728 830364.
