MORE than 170 children from the primary schools in Hadleigh and surrounding villages have gathered for a day focusing on citizenship and co-operation.
The children, helped by year 10 pupils from Hadleigh High School, were given a series of workshops yesterday led by the Suffolk School of Samba and Swansea-based Dynamix.
Peter Duncan, of Dynamix, said his group went into schools to work with them on issues like children's rights, school councils, trying to reduce bullying and to improve behaviour.
The event, called Co-operating for Citizenship, was sponsored by the Ipswich and Norwich Co-operative Society and the Suffolk Education Business Partnership.
