A campaign to prevent attacks on guide dogs was formally launched in Ipswich on Saturday.
The Take the Lead campaign launched at Jollyes pet shop in Commercial Road, and aims to encourage responsible dog ownership to prevent their pets attacking guide dogs.
The campaign was launched by Ipswich mayor Jane Riley, with dog owners able to pick up free goodie bags to find out more.
It has been backed by Guide Dogs UK, Ipswich Borough Council, Suffolk police, Ipswich Central, Ipswich Veterinary Centre and MP Sandy Martin.
On Thursday Mr Martin will experience an unrehearsed blindfolded walk of the town centre to understand the difficulties, with a special stall at the market also set to feature.
On Sunday, August 12, a mass dog walk in Christchurch Park will continue to raise awareness.
