JUST a hand towel covered the modesty of a man found with two Chinese women, one in a baby doll nightdress holding a pair of knickers in one hand and a bottle of baby oil in the other, when police officers raided a brothel in Ipswich, a has court heard.

Police raided the address in Foxhall Road on July 8 last year after an undercover operation into a racket stretching from Crawley, Sussex, to Beverley, North Yorkshire.

Charged with conspiracy to manage brothels are Jia Zhu, 22, of Malvern Road, London; Long Qin, 41, of Hainton Avenue, Grimsby, Hui Wu, 49, of Scartho Road, Grimsby and Dao Weng, 29, of Malvern Road, London.

Three of them, with the exception of Hui Wu, also face a charge of conspiracy to control prostitutes and conspiracy to facilitate the commission of breaches in immigration law.

The quartet are all currently on trial at Leeds Crown Court.

Prosecuting, Andrew Hatton said adverts with various scripts including “Oriental massage and escorts seven days” were placed in a catalogue of newspapers to generate business.

He said: “The prosecution say that these four defendants were involved in a series of conspiracies together with others in relation to those brothels.”

Mr Hatton said when police raided a brothel at Foxhall Road, they interrupted a man. He said: “They gained entry to the premises and found in one of the bedrooms a naked English male, his genitals covered by a small multi-coloured hand towel, being attended upon by two Chinese women.

“The police also recovered approximately 250 unused condoms, several boxes of tissues and wet wipes and several bottles of various baby oils.”

Mr Hatton told the jury the house in Foxhall Road, Ipswich, was let to tenants in January last year, who both gave their occupations as chefs at the China Dragon 2 restaurant and a London address as Malvern Road.

He said Long Qin's name was given and a contact name at the restaurant was given as another defendant Jia Zhu. He said Weng's name was used to pay council tax.

In yesterday's hearing, the court heard a scripted menu of sex had been offered to undercover detectives in Grimsby and Hull.

At other addresses offers of “a different female every week” and free condoms were supplied by women some wearing just a towel.

As many as eight Chinese girls worked at a brothel charging £100-an-hour for sex.

A naked officer paid £60 for a massage with a naked Chinese girl before he made excuses and left.

The defendants have all pleaded not guilty and the trial continues.
