Two men and a 16-year-old boy will return to court on Friday for a pre-trial hearing after being charged with the murder of Ipswich teenager Tavis Spencer-Aitkens.

Callum Plaats, 23, of Findell Drive, Bramford, is due at crown court alongside Aristote Yenge, of no fixed abode in Ipswich, and a boy from Colchester, who can not be named for legal reasons.

All are charged with murder following the fatal stabbing of 17-year-old Tavis in Packard Avenue on June 2.

Yenge and the youth were charged on June 13 both appearing before magistrates the following morning, and at crown court that afternoon, when they were remanded in custody until a hearing set for this Friday, June 27.

Plaats was arrested on Tuesday, and appeared before magistrates and then a judge on Wednesday, when he too was remanded to reappear alongside his co-defendants.

Two men, aged 20 and 19, arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder, remain on bail until Monday, July 30.
