A TAXI driver was punched in the face and robbed, after dropping off three people in Benezet Street, Ipswich, it emerged today.When the driver - who had picked up trio from Felixstowe railway station, dropped them off - one man stayed behind in the back seat.
A TAXI driver was punched in the face and robbed, after dropping off three people in Benezet Street, Ipswich, it emerged today.
When the driver - who had picked up trio from Felixstowe railway station, dropped them off - one man stayed behind in the back seat.
He punched the driver in the face, stole an undisclosed quantity of cash from his wallet. The offence happened at about 11.40am yesterday .
The offender and the remaining passenger who was a woman, then
left the car and walked off towards Norwich Road.
The thin man who punched the driver is described as white, 5ft 5ins tall, with
short black hair. He wore a white tracksuit top, jeans and dirty white trainers. The thin woman he was with was white 5ft 2in tall with 'mousy' coloured hair, wearing a blue top and jeans.
