Taxi drivers to consider strike action

TAXI drivers are set to meet in Ipswich today to discuss possible industrial action following a dispute with the council over fares.

Members of the Taxi Drivers Association were due to meet at Ipswich Railway Station to discuss the issue today.

Drivers have asked Ipswich Borough Council to raise day and night fares by 40p per journey but their demands have not been met.
