A PRIMARY schoolteacher and three other people today pleaded guilty to a number of child pornography charges.
They were among six men and a woman who appeared before Ipswich magistrates, each charged with 16 specimen offences.
The four who pleaded guilty were teacher Jonathan Bennett, 30, of Dennor Close, Sutton-on-Sea, Lincolnshire, but formerly of Suffolk; Edward Underwood, 63, of Bridgwater Road, Ipswich; Paul Wynn, 24, of Howe Road, Haverhill; and William Moxham, 58, of Friar Close, Haverhill.
Also before the court were Richard Sugden, 52, of Nottidge Road, Ipswich; and William and Alison Owen, of Chedburgh Road, Chevington.
The arrests and subsequent charges are thought to be Suffolk's first as part of Operation Ore, the nationwide police crackdown on child pornography on the internet.
