HER vibrant personality and zest for life shone out to those whose lives she enriched. Today, through a mist of tears, family and friends of Kiara Stevenson-Mann steeled themselves as they prepared to pay their last respects at her funeral.
Kiara was fatally injured when her bike came off the pavement and went into the path of an oncoming coach on August 14, just five days before her sixth birthday.
For her parents, Colin Mann and Michelle Stevenson, along with Kiara's younger sister Georgia, memories of the fun-loving five-year-old will always live on, forever captured in a snapshot of time.
Tonight's Evening Star comes with a happy picture of Kiara in tribute to the girl whose family call her their happy little angel. It is a family snap of Kiara on Clacton beach with her mum, sister and two young cousins. Tragically, it is the last picture of Kiara ever taken.
A SHORT BUT BEAUTIFUL LIFE: see tonight's Evening Star.
