A TEENAGER facing charges after two gangs clashed at Tower Ramparts shopping centre is to have his case committed to crown court.

IPSWICH: A teenager facing charges after two gangs clashed at Tower Ramparts shopping centre is to have his case committed to crown court.

Diarra Dillon, of Downside Close, Ipswich, is accused of affray and possession of an offensive weapon.

The 18-year-old, who was arrested shortly after 4.30pm on Tuesday, appeared at South East Magistrates' Court yesterday for the first hearing of his case.

He was released on conditional bail until his next hearing on February 17 before the same court.

The case is then due to be committed to Ipswich Crown Court.

Five other males, aged between 15 and 20, have been also been arrested on suspicion of affray following the incident at 2pm on Monday.

All have now been released on police bail following questioning.

Police have said six arrests were made at five different locations in Ipswich on Tuesday.
