A TEENAGER today spoke of her bitter disappointment after thieves stole her car and set it alight.

Hannah Eley, of Wicklow Road, Ipswich, was bought the black Ford Fiesta by her parents last June as a 17th birthday present.

However, the learner driver has been left without a mode of transport after yobs torched her prized vehicle.

Police broke the news to Hannah after they found the car a short distance from her house on March 18.

Hannah said: “My parents had brought little accessories to go in the car including a pink poodle, air fresheners and black and pink seat covers.

“But now everything has been burnt. I've done so well to learn to drive and I was just about to book my test.”

Hannah, who dreams of being a model, also lost her photo portfolio which was in the car and had been built up over several years.

She said: “I put a lot of money into the photos, taken over three years, and they were all torched.

“Modelling was my future career and the photos cost a lot of money and time. Some of them can never be replaced - ones on the beach with my boyfriend and some of my parents. It's really upsetting.”

Hannah said she plans to continue to learn to drive and hopes to take her test at the end of April.

She added that she will go back to work and save up the money to create a new portfolio, but admitted it could take more than six months.

The Fiesta was stolen from the family driveway at the bottom of the house sometime between 1am and 7.30am on March 18.

It was later found by police in Whiton Church Lane.
