A 16-year-old boy was punched in the head after a group of older teenagers approached him and demanded he hand over his bag in Ipswich.

The robbery took place on Friday, October 20, at around 10.40pm in Bramford Road.

According to a police spokesman, the 16-year-old boy was approached by a group of around five men aged in their late teens who threatened him to hand over his belongings.

When he refused he was punched in the head and had his Adidas bag, which is believed to have been empty at the time, stolen.

Police are appealing to the public for information to help track down the perpetrators.
