Police are appealing for witnesses after a teenage girl was sexually assaulted in Ipswich.

It happened at around 6.50pm on Friday, September 29, in Shackleton Road.

According to a spokeswoman for Suffolk Police, the victim, a teenage girl, was walking along the road when she was approached by a man near to Badshah Avenue.

He pushed her against a fence and sexually assaulted her and then walked off towards Felixstowe Road.

The suspect is described as black, around 6ft tall, with short dreadlocks.

At the time of the offence he was wearing a long-sleeve top with a grey front and black sleeves, and dark blue trousers.
