Teenager accosted in Ipswich

IPSWICH Police are appealing for information today after a 14-year-old girl was accosted in Ipswich between 1pm and 1.15pm on Saturday.

The girl was walking along Star Lane towards The Foyer when she was approached from behind by a man.

IPSWICH Police are appealing for information today after a 14-year-old girl was accosted in Ipswich between 1pm and 1.15pm on Saturday.

The girl was walking along Star Lane towards The Foyer when she was approached from behind by a man. The man put his head over her shoulder and repeatedly asked her questions, some of which were of a suggestive nature.

She continued walking along Star Lane and went into The Foyer to find a friend. The man walked off in the direction of Grimwade Street.

The man is described as:

A white male, aged around 45 years, 6ft tall with short mousey coloured receding hair. His two front teeth were missing, he had a Suffolk accent and was wearing scruffy dark coloured clothing.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have been in the area around the time and may have seen this incident or who may recognise the man from his description.
