A SUFFOLK teenager has been acquitted of death by dangerous driving today by a jury at Ipswich Crown Court.
Jake Strowger was accused of racing a friend, James Sadler, shortly before an accident in Aldeburgh, which killed 61-year-old pedestrian Carol Myhill.
Strowger, 18, from Theberton had denied teenagers were chasing round the countryside on February 25, the night of Mrs Myhill's death.
Sadler, also 18, of Andrew Close, Leiston, pleaded guilty to causing Mrs Myhill's death by dangerous driving at a hearing in July.
He is due to be sentenced shortly after the end of Strowger's trial.
