A TEENAGER was beaten up by two men who leapt out of a car and attacked him as he walked home from a night out in Felixstowe.

Police today appealed for witnesses to the assault – and urged anyone with any information to get in touch with them immediately.

The incident happened in the early hours of Friday August 15 as a 17-year-old youth was walking home.

The teenager was walking along St Andrews Road at around 3.10am when he noticed a car driving past him at some speed. The vehicle turned off into Queens Road and stopped.

Two men then got out of the car, approached him and assaulted him, before returning to the vehicle. The car then sped off down Queens Road towards the seafront.

The teenager suffered injuries to his face and back but did not receive hospital treatment.

Both his attackers are described as white, around 18-19 years old and were wearing hooded tops.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Felixstowe police on 01473 613500.

The incident is the latest in a series of assaults at the resort this summer. Last month a man was attacked by two teenagers in Garrison Lane car park and his mobile phone stolen from him, and before that there was an attack in Manning Road when a man had several personal items stolen, including jewellery.
