Teenager dies after A134 crash near Thetford Forest involving Mini Cooper and Vauxhall Zafira

An 18-year-old man has died after a two-vehicle crash on the A134 near Thetford Forest in the early hours of this morning, police have said.

A red Mini Cooper and blue Vauxhall Zafira were involved in a collision on the A134 in Mundford, Norfolk, near the A11 junction, at around 5am.

A police spokesman said the 18-year-old driver of the Mini died at the scene despite the best efforts of the emergency services.

The man’s family have been informed.

Four people were also taken to hospital with what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries.

Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene and rescued a motorist from their vehicle.

The A134 was closed at the junction for Stanta and West Tofts and the Mundford Roundabout for several hours while investigations take place.

It reopened shortly after 12pm.

Anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or anyone who may have seen the driving manner of either vehicle prior to the incident, should contact Serious Collision Investigation Team at Wymondham on 101.
