POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a man was attacked and had his watch stolen.
The 19-year-old man was attacked by five men as he walked past McDonalds, in Ranelagh Road, at 12.30am Sunday.
A member of the group asked him for a cigarette and then for his watch, which he refused to hand over.
All five men then punched and kicked him and took his watch, other jewellery and cash.
The victim received treatment for cuts, bruises and abrasions at Ipswich Hospital.
