Teenager in court over tourist assault

A TEENAGER has appeared in court charged in connection with an assault on an American tourist in Ipswich.

The youth, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, was accused of wounding with intent at Ipswich Crown Court.

The youth, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, was accused of wounding with intent at Ipswich Crown Court.

He is alleged to have attacked the tourist on July 5 near the junction of Palmerston Road and St Helen's Street and will next appear in court on March 22.
