IPSWICH teenager Charlotte Geater was today in London picking up a top poetry award - for the third year running.
The Northgate sixth former has been named one of 15 Foyle's Young Poets by the Poetry Society and was picking up her award at a gala event in London.
Winning poems were being read by stars including Harriet Walter, Roger Lloyd Pack and Sophie Okonedo.
Charlotte, 17, from Westbourne Road has won a place on a residential writing course at the Poetry Society's Arvon study centre in the midlands in February next year.
She said: "I'm excited to have won for the third year in a row and I'm looking forward to the Arvon course in February.
"I've made some great friends through the competition and hope to do so again this year."
Charlotte is currently working towards her A levels next year and hopes to go on to study English at university next year.
She recently met one of her favourite lyricists, Billy Bragg, sharing a joke with him at the Burston festival in Norfolk.
