POLICE are today hunting a gang of youths after a 14-year-old was stabbed in a late-night attack.

The teenager was walking in Dog's Head Street, Ipswich, between 10.30pm and 11.30pm on Friday, August 24.

He became involved in an altercation with a group of around 10 people which resulted in him being punched in the face and stabbed in the shoulder, in nearby Shaftesbury Square.

The group, of around six black males and three black females included the youth who stabbed the victim, described as around 16 years old, 5ft 7in, small to medium build with very short dark hair, and slight hair on his top lip.

He was wearing a dark sports-style rain-proof jacket and dark tracksuit bottoms.

Another member of the group, who punched the victim in the face, is described as mixed-race, aged in his late teens, 5ft 9in, of athletic build with short dark afro hair with a deep voice, a slight lisp and big teeth.
