Teenager taken to hospital after collision with car in Sidegate Lane, Ipswich

A teenage boy was knocked over by a car in Ipswich today and suffered a minor head injury.
Emergency services were called to Sidegate Lane around 3.30pm to reports of a collision between a car and a pedestrian.
A spokeswoman for Suffolk Constabulary said the boy, who she described as a young teenager, sustained a “bump to the head”.
The boy was taken to Ipswich Hospital by road ambulance to been checked over.
A spokeswoman for the East of England Ambulance Service Trust (EEAST) said his injuries were minor.
No one else was treated at the scene, the spokeswoman added.
The car involved in the crash was an Isuzu Cooper.
The road was not closed and the crash was dealt with by 4.10pm.
The EEAST spokeswoman said the first ambulance was at the scene four minutes after receiving the call.
Sidegate Primary School is located in Sidegate Lane, which is just off Woodbridge Road.
