DETECTIVES investigating an alleged rape in Bramford said the teenager who claimed she was attacked had withdrawn her complaint.
DETECTIVES investigating an alleged rape in Bramford said the teenager who claimed she was attacked had withdrawn her complaint today.
The 17-year-old woman who made the allegation was re-interviewed by the police. After further questioning she withdrew her complaint and officers said they are satisfied no assault of any kind took place.
A spokesman for Suffolk Police today said detectives would like to thank the public for their assistance in the matter.
The teenager claimed she was attacked around 11pm on July 12 after getting off a bus in Acton Road, Bramford.
She claimed to have been walking through an alleyway towards Acton Close when the incident took place.
